Breakthrough!

I realised that Rachael doesn't like to lie down on her left side while drinking milk. So to feed her on the right breast, I need to do football hold and left breast I need to do cradle position.

I actually managed to pick her up from the cot and feed her all by myself. I think I'm ready for Ken to go back to work. What a breakthrough to have minimum crying from Rachael during feeding.

Also, when the timing is not correct, I pumped the breast milk out. I was surprised to be able to pump 110ml last night. From the 4th day of less than 15ml to now, I really must thank God for the milk.

And I realised the trick to have more milk is to drink something really hot before pumping or breastfeeding. I hope this continues, so that we can totally stop formula soon!

It's really tempting to jus give up breastfeeding and feed her formula milk. No wonder so many mothers gave up. I hope I can perservere to give her the best of me. Although it's really tiring to breastfeed 30min for each side and before I know it, 2h is up and she wants another round of 30min.

So well, this is life for now. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
